Soap Makers Help!

Yeah me too. The people were very nice. I had requested the 2X2 size too but they didn't have any and offered to make one just to send me a free sample. The 2.5X3.5 fit perfectly though.

Okay the lady pays with CC the day they are shipped. How do I take credit cards?

I have no idea about credit cards. She said she could send a check ahead of time if that would be easier. I really don't know what to do about a credit card payment. Would it make a difference if I opened a business account? Help

From my BIL, he got the CC machine and all that and found out that they charge a fee for a transaction which ate into his profits.... He did a lot of craft shows.... He said he preferred paypal for the on-line stuff since it was easier eventhough they also charge a fee no hassle of having phone access and doing the CC validation..... plus less fraud involved....

Just my opinion....

You can use pay-pal, pro pay or talk to your bank. If you haven't already, I would open a business account and try to keep your money seperate just for tax reasons. There other companies out there but those are the two big ones. You do have to pay fees to have CC processed, but I think pro pay is a little cheaper. I know Sam's Club also has their own CC processor program.

I just went on Pay-Pal and saw the email payment option that accepts CC payments. So that should be all I need for that I would guess.

The only thing is she would have to be signed up with pay pal and have her CC registered with them.

I notice most folks do not feel comfortable sending me credit card #'s. I usually tell them I'd prefer NOT to have that and a check or money order is fine if they use snail mail. OR I use the PayPal money transfer feature...I do not pay for the Pay Pal business account...it is also expensive FYI. I just tell folks I only accept, paypal, money orders, checks and cash. When I put up my website in October for holiday...I do accept only pay pal thru that also. It's easier and less fuss.

What would everyone think about doing a sniffie swap? I was thinking we could do it like the crafted item Swap. I would list 5 sniffie, if someone wanted it, they would reply and offer up 5 of their own. Or we could do it like the soap swap.

We would just be putting a few drops on a cotten ball.

Let me know if anyone would be interested.

We run CC's through our business and as the CFO, I get to see the fees up close and personal.

Not only is there a fee per transaction, but there is often a monthly fee on top of that. In addition, a CC that is entered manually has a higher fee than one that is swiped. The fee itself isn't particularly expensive, but they can add up and eat into your profit.
