Oh get you some oatmeal and blend it in your coffee grinder until it is powder. Mix this into a tepid bath. That will help with the itching!

Sounds yummy! What is in the recipe?

I had my dd test the "bubble bath" last night. It's not really bubble bath, more like a bath soak. It bubbled when first put in but didn't last long. But she did come out nice and soft! Recipe for those that want to try:

1 quart warm/hot water
1 bar castille unscented soap, grated
2 oz liquid glycerin
3-4 drops EO

Mix water and soap until all soap is dissolved. Add glycerin, and EO. Stir gently. Let cool and pour into containers.

As for the bath melts/tub truffles these worked well! And so easy!!
Recipe:

2 cups melted cocoa butter
2 cups baking soda
1 cup citric acid
food colour (optional)
EO or FO

Melt the butter, add colour and FO, mix. Add powdered ingredients, stir well and pour into small molds. Let sit in fridge or freezer until set. Pop out onto waxed/parchment paper and let sit for a short time (I left them overnight). Store in baggie or airtight container.
Use one or two per bath. Careful though, can make the tub slippery.
If you don't want fizziness, sub the citric acid for baking soda or sea salts.

Post a picture for us. Have you tried unmolding it yet?

It could also be that the middle of the soap started to gell before the ends and the heat caused the crack. I had that happen just about a week ago with my sandalwood ylang. The crack isn't as big as yours, but I think mine started to over heat in the middle when the top was still hard. it stayed in the gel phase for about 3 hours longer than than my other two soaps made at the same time and neither one of them had a crack.

Did I miss where you said what you used for scent?

Aww, poor kid, I really hope he gets better fast. If it gets real bad I would take him to the Dr and get the shot. My mil is very sensitive to poison ivy and she had to get the shot and really helped and started working very soon.

I used half an oz. of Lavender EO from MMS.

OK, then it most likely was not the eo. Lavender is usually very well behaved. Since it passed the zap test and there is no seperation I'm inclinded to think it was the heat generated from starting the gell phase.

Alright, he does not have poison ivy. He does have some kind of rash that is real little red dots all over. They are super little but even in his armpits and on his face. But he hasn't given it to anyone else. It is just one part on his upper back that itches but besides the dots I can't find anything there. And there is no water or fluid in the spots either. And I had my hands all over him yesterday and have no spots. He was wrestling with his 3 brothers and there isn't a dot in sight on them. Maybe he ate something or brushed up against something. I have no clue

Here are 2 of my chicks and the rest are that 2 tone swirl berry fusion soap I made. The soap accelerated faster then expected but I wrote that done in my notes and won't forget next time.

My vanilla rebatch was also too much liquid. It has been a while and it's still too soft . . . BUT . . . it IS hardening, just slowly. I'm not going to give up on it. I'm going to give it the time and let it harden slowly and suspect it'll be fine. I used a sliver of one of the soft end pieces. While it didn't last long, it was still lovely soap. I think it'll get there eventually as long as I have the patience that it needs.

I was wondering how your rebatch went. It looked so pretty when you poured it. How much water/milk did you use?

I think this is a good amount to get you started. Keep track of what ones sell the best, you may have to restock those. And I have noticed that even if you sell out of fragrance they liked, they will buy a different one. If you can get them to stop and smell, it is almost always a sell.
