And omg, I am so tired of the heat! It's horrible isn't.

LOL. I LOVE The Princess Bride!

Birdbrain, if you were closer, I'd be GRATEFUL for the help! Anyone feel like a vacation to Southern California?

It's usually quite nice out this way. It's 73 and sunny right now.

We're going back and forth on the details. It looks like I might pre-measure at home into containers and then we'll do several batches in the church kitchen. I really, really don't want to haul several 50 lb. containers of oils back and forth. And, because our soap contains as much as 11 oils, I don't want to drag the smaller containers over there either.

OK, I'll do some water discounting, depending on the needs of the fragrances.

Sounds like you really have your work cut out for you no matter which way you look at it. Do any of the other ladies live close by? Maybe they could help you with hauling whatever you need to the church.

No, they all live near the church. I live in a different city and am younger than all of them. They like to do the melting, stirring, etc. And, we also do a lot of laughing, which is another reason why it'd be good to pre-measure!

Here is the soap I made a couple hours ago. I used the clay. I think I did a lot better with it this time then the last time I used it.

Please pay no attention to the different colors in the pics. I have crappy lighting

Morgaine,
The Princess Bride ranks right up there with The Sound of Music. I love it.

The heat is just killing me. I was out watering the garden just now and got bitten to death by mosquitoes. Don't they know it is too hot to be out? Dumb Pests!! I'm thinking a vacation to see the other BB would be a really terrific idea. I don't think my DH and the kids would go for it as I would blissfully get on the plane without them.

Corrie,
what type and color of clay did you use? I really like it.

Next week I am going to teach a friend how to make soap. We are going to make orange poppy seed. I didn't end up getting any last time I made it. It was a big hit with my DH's coworkers and Christmas giftees.

Morgaine, was that the pink clay? I'm pretty sure. It was a dusty red in the baggie. I was so pleased. I have have been having a lot of trouble lately with my swirls for some reason. DH thinks it looks really good. And when I taught that girl about soaping a couple days ago I made a Castile with lemon peel in it and lemon verbana and sweet orange EO. I'll post pics soon.
