Morgaine: Saucy Wench... so creative.... My DH would buy it just for the name...

It really gets people talking and if they walk by and see it, they usually stop and say "Oh, and what does a Saucy wench smell like?"

I got some more OO so I think I'm going to do a batch OMH (oatmeal milk honey) and Lavender Ylang eo's (so good so far in the jar!) I'm thinking of making the lavender ylang yellow and purple. What do you guys think?

yellow - purple and throw in a little green and it'd be Mardi Gras!!!

No really I like the idea... just not sure how the yellow and purple would look together if they were swirled... it might turn a bit brownish and ruin the idea... Unless you're going to do layers and then that would be pretty with the yellow on top with some shavings of purple... ooooo an idea for another batch.... wish I had a log mold....

I was thinking a base of purple (alkanet root powder) with a top of yellow (kaolin clay) and purple swirls. I'll soap it this evening so I may change my mind in the mean time lol.

ok everyone, I have a little problem. The apple jack peel soap I made for the swap is not up to par. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but even with an 8 week cure this soap is very soft and the lather is horrible. To me it's trash, so what I'm going to do is let everyone pick what ever soap they want from what I have in stock. I have a festival this Saturday, but if you let me know by tonight I'll make sure to set it aside for you. I will make sure that the packaging matches the theme atleast. I hope this is ok with everyone. Here is what I have in stock, though the earth child and cedar fields will need 2 more weeks to cure.

I just got my order from Southern Garden Scents

I'm restocking Burberry and Sandalwood Rose. I think these might have to perment soaps. I also got Chamomile. I hope this one does well cause it is a great scent. I jsut love the scent of the one Cheeptrick sent me so I ordered some and I am so glad I did. I needed something like this in my line up, it very different than most of my other scents. I think I'll use some of the mica Brandy sent everyone too.

It's powdery too, but not overpowering. I like it and think it is something different than the other scents I have. I'm planning to soap it this afternoon. I'll put a piece in your box so you can compare. I plan on using the micas you sent

The Mushroom festival went well yesterday. Weather was beautiful, a great crowd, and we did really well. I've gone ahead and signed up for next year. The only problems were our neighboors who were smoking through out the day.

There was one other soap maker there, she was really nice and we talked a bit. She made goat's milk soaps.

My best seller surprisingly was Almond And Oatmeal.

All in all is was a great day!
