Soap Makers Help!

OK, just completed the recipe. It made more than I thought so the cost wasn't bad. LOL just so you don't think I'm ultra cheapo.

I used essential depot for some of my supplies. The shipping was very reasonable and I shopped when most items were either half off or close to it. Cheaper than bramble berry, ESPECIALLY the shipping. Just FYI, if someone wants to look into another possible source.

I love cocoa butter in soap, at up to 10-15%. Luxurious, and it seems to contribute to a nice hard shiny bar.

Thank you. I will try to substitute with the cocoa butter. Equal weights, I suppose?

I'm not sure what you mean by "equal weights"? You should recalculate the lye for your soap recipe every time you make any change at all, no exceptions.

Hello
I did a search and didnt see what I was looking for.
My wife made soap with soap letters in it. The letters bleed. She made letters using soap with soap coloring.
Any suggestions?
Thank you

She needs to use colors that don't migrate. Like Micas that are stable in Cold process or the if it is Melt and pour the others will work( other micas}

This is one of my favorite swirls using mica colorants.

I usually buy my micas from Brambleberry but someone shared a new website the other day where a very nice lady is selling some Rainbow micas that compare to Pop micas

I am trying to catch up on Soapmaking cause I have had such a busy summer with company and other things. I made 20 lbs last weekend and I am only making a three lb batch of Sea Salt soap today.
I am waiting on a a soap cutter I ordered four weeks ago that is back ordered from For Craftssake. It is not the Tank but a single cut wire because I cut mine thicker than 1 inch. Right now I am using one I made that cuts with a Guitar string.
