I got my lye and I made ten pounds of cinnamon oatmeal soap an hour ago. I changed it from the last batch and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will come out fine.

What do you think? And this one is scented with Oatmeal Milk & Honey.

The B&B owner and I have been emailing back and forth for a while, but meeting in person just seems so real, lol!

And congrats on your wholesale order! What kind of soap is she interested in?

Wow 10 pounds is a lot! Can't wait to see it cut. What did you use for the swirl? I bet it smells devine. I love OMH.

This is her store and it has a section under products about handmade soaps. They all look really good and there are so many diffrent kinds. I can't compete with that right this minute but I asked if she would be willing to wait for soaps like that to cure. She really wants swirled ones still becase thats what her customers like. Honestly I feel so unqualified for this but its great she is giving me a chance. Shes on the forum here and saw my avatar and thats what caught her eye I guess. I will use my not so swiled soap and my more rustic soaps for the FM.

Oh and the 10# is altogether between those 2 molds. I used cinnamon again but this time I did the amount and timing a lot better. I just hope it turns out alright cuz I was a little heavy handed on the castor oil but not by much so hopefully it won't hurt it.

The good thing about sniffies is it is only a few drops on a cotten ball put in a baggie. Those FO are expensive! I thought this way we could see what different ones smell like and we wouldn't have to buy.

Well me and Backyard buddies are exchanging sniffies of some of our FO and I thought others might be interested. I'm not sure how many people would be interested so however everyone else wants to do it. If you want to make your own blend and post it with the sniffie that would be awesome. I'm blending impared, lol.

no animal fats? Wish someone would clue her in. I use animal OILS that are rendered from animal fat, but i no more use animal fat than someone who uses OO uses olives!

Seems like she's making claims on her labels also ... "Promotes a youthful complexion", "A natural Antiperspirant". Can't make claims like than on soaps ....

(yes, I'm a bit critical after seeing the 'animal fats'.)
