Soap Makers Help!

Fabulous! I would spend a lot of time at your booth! And slowing people down and getting them to stop is the first hurdle!

Parson's wife,
Welcome! There are dome recipes on the soap recipe swap thread. That thread has not seen as much activity as I had hoped but there are some nice recipes listed there and I hope others will contribute as well.

Careful Parson's! Soapmaking is addictive in it's own right. There's something very primal and satisfying about making your own soap.... Plus you get to make it smell like you want!

I always have FREE lemonade, apple cider, and my next swap will be lavender lemonade (-: IT really reigns them in...direct them to the free lemonade first...then they ALWAYS ask about the soaps...then because they get free lemonade they feel obligated to buy a bar! (-:

Be ready for a sore throat after each show...

I don't where I would put the lemonade lol. Maybe if I take another small card table. I hope I talk enough people into buying the soap that I do go home without a voice lol. DH was surprised at how long I will be there every sturday. I'll be there from 7am to 1:30pm and that includes setup and break down. I could take the other table and some lemonade and see if I have room for it. Well actually I just thought about it. I have no way to keep it cold for that long

And off topic just real quick. DH is now an enabler. My chickies flew out of their play pen yesterday and DH was closiest to them so I told him to put them back in before they went every where. I figured he wouldn't want them running the house since he has never let any of the others do it before. He said no let them do what they want. So now they think they can do what they want all the time.

Right now three are roosting on the edge of the pen and one is sleeping behind off and on behind my head on the couch

Aww, how cute! What breeds do you have? My six little ones are so active, they get going so fast they can't stop! Since they're mixed breed I interested to see what they look like.

I'm going to weigh up some oils in a bit and soap before I have to pick ds up from school. I might play around with my table and display too. I just haven't decided what to soap yet.

Cheep trick, I like you idea of the lemonaid if I was going to be there all day. Our market is really small though(about 20vendors). I think I might do that fo the watermelon festival though. It gets so hot here in the summer, a cold drink would be nice. All the way in the back too so they have to go past all the soaps, lol.

I'm not really sure what they are. They came from the assorted pullet bin at TSC. I couldn't help myself. While I was there I also got three ducks lol. I think three of them are NHR and the other might be a leg horn? I have one that is stillbehind me that thinks she owns the couch

I have FOs and EOs coming in today from MMS and I won't soap till I get those because I want to decide after I get everything
