Soap Makers Help!

OH Great Sellers of Soap.... Lend me some wisdom...

My DM gave me some GREAT metal round waffle/wave edge cutters for my soap... I've been using a straight waffle/wave cheese cutter and they look nice but wanted to try the round cutters...

How do you package them?? I'm not much into fancy wrappings and such and was thinking of just getting some boxes to line with my soaps with a card containing the ingredients and my info on it put in-front of the boxes so if they wanted a card they would have it....

But the more I think on this the less I like it because I know when I buy stuff and it's not all together then when I get home I don't know which product is which if it's not attached.... but how do you attach a card to a round soap??

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.... I'm still scoping out FM to see where I might sell at....

Morgaine, sent you a PM about supplies...

I use 1/2 and 1/2 containers for my soap molds and the round cutter is about 4" round and the thickness is about an inch to 2 inches with total weight about 2.5 to 3 oz...

Hmm, if they are 4" one side to the other then those boxes won't work. Check out the reference thread, I have several soap box suppliers listed.

Well I think my lesson went well today. I was teaching a girl who's mother I meet at the FM saturday. I'm pretty sure she is still interested in making soap after seeing me make a Castile soap. It has lemongrass in it and sweet orange EO. And I added lemon peel to. Anyway I wasn't sure if she would still want to do it after watching me make the lye solution and measuring out the oil and all. She was right there watching it all and listening to what I was telling her and showing her. I think she will do very well. She is only 14. Isn't it great that she wants to learn how to do this

Her mom is so nice. While I was teaching her daughter about soaping she went to the Hallmark store and got me orange vanilla tea light candles and a candle holder for them. Isn't that nice. She will be at the FM again Saturday. I have a bunch of scrap from my log mold and told her I would give her a few to help her get ideas for what she might want to make.

Haven't had time to catch up yet..hopefully later today since it's going to rain I can do that.

My oil order is due in today, wasn't suppose to be in till tomorrow so I had gone and bought some organic coconut oil (only kind I can get in town) to get me through.

But it got me to thinking, does anyone make a 100% organic soap bar? And if you sell do you charge more for it and how much more than your regular soaps?
