Big misconception of HP vs CP.

HP allows the soap mixture to go through saponification more quickly than CP (a few hours instead of 18-24) but both need time to allow the excess moisture to evaporate.

My humble opinion (just based on the few HP soaps I've done) is the HP took longer to have the excess moisture evaporate than a liquid reduction CP soap.

Have you tried discounting the liquid in your lye solution?? (a process known as DWCP)

When I need soaps more quickly, I take a larger liquid discount.

I got the info on HP from a book I had read so i decided to try it. The soap is already hardening nicely.
I use the MMS calc. and take the water down to the least amount that it says to on there.

Can you check the scent review board for me?

Red Apple Jack from TSW. In the reviews, what ppo are most of the reviewers using? The TSW website says it's "very strong" at .7 and I think I may remember that several folks cut it down from there.

Got my order yesterday. No sniffies.

Didn't TSW used to give sniffies?

How does this recipe sound to you?
Sweet almond oil - 3.2oz
coconut oil - 19.2oz
lard - 12.8oz
jojoba - 3.2oz
olive oil - 25.6

water - 16oz
lye - 8.86oz

This is what I got from MMS. Is this one ok do you think? Thanks for explaining the HP and CP thing for me. I also found this site and was reading it a minute ago. Is this a good one?
