Soap Makers Help!

KEEP posting photos when you cut it. I LOVE to troubleshoot...personally I'd like to write a book on it and photograph all the soaps to show exactly what it looks like. *sigh* Another dream....ignore me. There are a lot of good explanations but NO real photos out there...I'm kind of a photog. A photographic BOOK on every way to MESS up Cold Process soap. I'm telling you...someone is going to read this and steal this idea too.

I think your soap is only asthetic...but without seeing it in person I cannot tell you whether or not it is botched.

Looking for input on something that I saw someone else did. I got an email froma friend that had bought soap while in a diferent state. The lady selling it also included a information sheet on her soap and how to take care of them.
I want to do something like this but I wanted your opinions on it first.

Pretty, chiknwhisperer! It does look good enough to eat.

Another question, Morgaine . . . . OK, so I have my yellow dock root infusing in my OO. It's yellow, of course.

Is it during the blending process that it turns pink? Could you tell at that point just how dark of a pink it was going to be? I'm hoping to soap the Black Raspberry Cream tomorrow and was hoping to split the batch and do a dark pink and white swirl. If I can tell that it's not going to be dark enough, I can always add a little pink clay or FRC to it to pull it to a darker shade. But, I don't want to do that if it's going to darken further from what I can see at that point. Could you tell what you were going to end up with?

Part of my "speech" to each customer is how to store the soap after they use it. But Dh has wanted me to print a little card to include with every soap directions on how to make it last longer. If you are using the boxes you could print a small label and put it on the side. Or what I'm thinking and print on a biz card and include that with a soap purchase.

I don't know about the expense of having a brocher type of thing, ink is expensive!

I think I'm going to order 48 of these soap dishes and sell them.

Yeah, it's an odd color in the oil. You know I don't remember when it changed color, but it had to be in the pot because I know the soap left in the pot was mauve. I got that marroon color during gel. I don't know that you will know exactly how dark it will be untill you gel it.

I try to tell them when they buy it but I don't always get the chance and a lot of them are gifts. Your right about the ink. I didn't think of that. My ink is already running low. Maybe I could try to do a hand written one but that probably won't turn out very good cuz my hands shake off and on.
