Soap Makers Help!

Can't wait to hear what fo/eo's you got! And see more soaps. Ds is doing much better today, but I'm sick now too. I haven't soaped at all this week.

Morgaine: mostly boring EOs... needed some to make up black salve... lemongrass/citronella/rosemary/tea tree

But they did have apple jack on sale and a cherry and a strawberry that wasn't for CP but I want to put it in DD's liquid soap... no one had a watermelon and all the other scents that I wanted so she'll be happy with strawberry...

DH is working on the website so maybe I'll get him to post up some pictures next week... for some reason, I can't get my laptop to recognize the camera.... ggggrrrrr

Hey Shelly, not sure if it was H1N1 or not (didin't go to Dr) but Ds has been fever free for almost 24 hours and is eating and moving around now. I can say that it is not nearly as bad as the flu we had a few years ago, but I still feel cruddy.

But on a funner note, I just placed an order for eo's from EOU. and all I can say is OUCH! here is what I got

An illness can alter your better judgement... of course if you then plan to share it can be forgiven...

LOL ametauss you are to funny!

I had an wholesale order come through who wants a bunch of lavender bars with goats milk but she doesn't want the oatmeal in there which I have in all my lavender bars already made (I don't ahve enough in stock anyway) and I didn't ahve near enough eo to complete the order. And I've been wanting to expand my eo's for a while anyway and I have no self control! LOL.

I am feeling so much better this morning. I didn't get nearly as sick as ds who was sick for a couple of days. Mainly it's just a slight fever and some aches. Advil takes care of most of it. So far dh hasn't had it.

I'm even feeling well enough to do some soaping. I'm not sure when my round silicone molds from wholesale supply plus is coming. I really hate when suppliers don't send you a tracking number, don't they know you have to obessively check to see when your goodies will get here! And I will haveyou know I did not order any fo's, just the molds. I'll let everyone know how they work. They seem like they will be so much easier than PVC pipes. I'm trying to have shaving soaps and brushes in time for the holidays.

Someone was asking about baskets? I haven't found anything locally that wasn't too high for me, but there are some places on line. I'm thinking of getting something like these

Amber that was me looking for baskets....

I really like that site... It said they only sell to businesses... and although I do have a business we use my SSN as a SP, I'm not required to have any other TIN or EIN....

I found some that were discontinued and they were less than $1 a piece... I'm gonna try to order a couple of cases and see.....

I had to put my metal molds in the freezer to see if I couldn't get the soap out... I guess I didn't use enough vasiline... I hope the freezing makes the metal shrink to release the soap... I can't bend the molds or it will distroy them... I could put them in the oven if it fails to release and dump them into my other mold....

I have never used a metal mold but I hope the freezer trick works for you!

I use my ssn as my EIN also, though I do have to have a seperate number to collect sales tax.

Well I have bad news. My son now has an ear infection. He was just getting over the flu and hadn't had a fever for almost 2 days and then he starts running one again and said his ear hurt. Poor bugger, he just can't catch a break. He's on antibiotics now. Thoughts and prays for him if you could please.
