Soap Makers Help!

Post pic's when you cut it! I love seeing all pic's. I am planning to make the lemon grass that I haven't got done sometime this week! I'm going to mess around & run out of time.

Just got my order of Natures Garden:
citronella lime
Japanese cherry blossom
cucumber melon
apple jack peel

What experances do ya'll have with their FOs? Ordering from them was a breeze and it arrive a day early with a wood rose sceneted in almond for a sniffy

I have a honey almond FO that I used & was not prepared for it seizing. I did manage to save the batch but will add at a lighter trace next time.

Hi. I had a question. I made my first batch of goat soap yesterday and all went well. But as I was pouring the mix into my moulds I got a little of the soap mix on my hands. I wasnt worried about it but a little while later is was stinging pritty good. I washed it off and all was fine but my question is Should it still be stinging even after everything has been mixed together. Like I thought the lye wasnt dangerouse after it was all mixed together and blended?
I thought i better ask just incase, I dont want to use the soap and have it burn my hands, lol.

No the lye is still very much active at that point that you pour it. Which is why it is so important to make sure that you are still wearing your safty gear. If you gell your soap, most of the process is complet after gell. If you don't gell, it takes several day.

If you do get raw soap on you or heaven forbid lye, make sure you rinse very very well with water and then apply some vinegar. Do not put vinegar on it right away because you want to dilute it as much as you can with water first. That way you don't start another chemical reaction on your skin.

RockyTogg- Soap Looks Great! Did you scent with a cocoa scent?
