I made only 1 batch today!

Intended on 3. Got a late start and DH came home early, DSIL and DGS came in also, So I got distracted, Kinda messed up the recipe by looking at the wrong pg I printed off soapcalc. I had revised it from Morgaine's suggestion. It took me quite a bit to figure the adjustments! Then it took me a little while to redo the freezer paper liner in my log mold. After I poured in my mold, got a little seepage, not much though. Hopefully tomorrow will be better, although I do have to go buy more goatmilk. I will post pic of this batch as soon as I can. It is Black Raspberry Vanilla, with no coloring. That is my next purchase. I wanted to put something in it, but didn't have anything. I did get my lavender dried in the oven! Came out very nice! Left it in on low with the door open for about 50 min then turned oven off and shut the door for about an hour.

I think this wasn't my weekend to soap!

I made 1 batch yesterday. Messed it up a little per my previous post! But today as I was making another batch, I discovered I forgot to put in the avocado oil, as it wasn't even opened when I used it today, therefore, I put in 7.143g to much lye!! Today as I was cleaning up, I discovered I forgot to put in the castor oil!!! URRGGHH!!

Soooo, needless to say, I put 5.185g to much lye!!!

My questions to you all is, Can I use these soaps? Are they to lye heavy and if so, what should I do with it? I thought everything was going so well today!! I really don't want to throw them out!

I used my dried lavender in my batch today, that took me about 1 hr to take buds off stems! I really don't like getting OLD!!!

You could shred it and rebatch it the add the missing oils.

Shred and use it as a confetti batch.

Use it for laundry soap.

Morgaine, do you have any general rules that go with a sopa sway such as types and weight of the soap etc.? Curious but have never participated in one.
