Soft Duck Eggs

I don’t think it has that much in it it says 22.5mg
Thank you so much for all your information.
We’re do I get the niacin to give her that they need. I am going to try all the information y’all are giving me. The veterinarian said to feed the crap out of her so been doing that too with worms, fish and her feed pellets and 8 grain scratch, but she seems to prefers the worms and fish and that is getting rather expensive. I live on a lake here we’re most stores here sell them for fishing

It can be a nutrient deficiency maybe reproduction issues. Sometimes even a duck that is eating the best feed it can still have problems some how not getting all they need out of the feed. I am not a vet but I will suggest this that you start her on Calcium citrate and Liquid b complex Calcium citrate can be found at most pharmacies ( Walmart) and the liquid b complex is at TSC most likely in the cattle section it will say injectable but we use it orally 1 ml 2x a day over a yummy treat and 50 Mgs of calcium citrate per lb of body weight this may or may not help but we won’t know till you try. Def worth trying for at least a week.

If I have a TSC close they have Durvet liquid b complex it will say injectable but we give it orally 1 ml over a yummy treat so she get full dose. Calcium citrate is at most pharmacies. Def worth trying for a week to see if it helps. I believe @DuckyDonna gives it over veggies.

Keep us updated on how she’s doing. This is an awesome place to find the best info on taking care of our poultry.
Thought I let you know how my Duck Daisy is doing I put her on the niacin in her water and the vitamins for poultry in her water and the complex B on a treat daily and the Calcium citrate on her treat was afraid to put that in the water I have a Drake he is a Cyagan his name Is Daffy he loves her and protect her and waits for her to eat then he will after she is done he so sweet with her and she is a Pekin named Daisy anyways I had herd on here that it is not good for the males to have to much calcium she is laying beautiful eggs again not soft shell for 3 days now and is walking and cleaning her self not falling backwards she seems much better. I do believe she has a bet of bowing in her legs. I am new at this and Tractor supply said feed them the chick stater and the chicken feed would be all they need. So l didn’t know they needed more of niacin and other things.if I had not seen this place Backyard chicken and all the wonderful information y’all give. I do hope it is not to late for her she will be 2year in February and my male will be 1 Year in February. I have fell in love with these Ducks they are awesome little creatures . Love just setting and watching them and they follow me all around they know my voice and my car when I get home they start their quaking my husband only when I pull up not him,He is jealous so now he sets with them and feeds them treats like I do but they still come running to me lol.

That’s amazing she is doing so well so quick. Keep up with what your doing. I don’t think I’d give niacin and b complex. Maybe leave the niacin off for now and just continue with the liquid b complex and calcium citrate over treat. That’s so cute your husband wants the ducks to love him like they love their mama(you). Hopefully him spending time with them he’ll become a favorite person. I think you’ll always be their #1 though.
