I've read everything I can about soft egg shells, and feel like - Okay, I can handle that - but when I opened the egg to have a look - there was no yolk - at all. I am a little embarrased but I have no idea, physiologically why a chicken would lay an egg with no yolk. Anyone have an answer?? :-0

That can happen with new layers. I think they are called wind egg.If it's an older hen I don't have an answer. I wouldn't worry about it. Good Luck.

Imp- I guess the "yolks" on you.
