Soft Egg

So I got this today! My Sapphire Gem has been laying about a week! 22 percent layer, cat food sometimes and scratch on occasion! She is usually a morning laying but decided til it got dark to start to lay and this is what she laid. Should I be worried?

Hi! Is it completely shell-less or just soft shelled?

Either way, I wouldn’t be concerned if it’s not a regular occurrence. Does she have free choice oyster shell?

I tried to attach a picture. There was two! One was soft shell and the other had no shell. It looked like a sunny side up egg in the box!

I’ll pick some up tomorrow! Her eggs have been completely normal up until today.

You're feeding 22% Layer, I would stop the cat food, the scratch is "candy" for them ... She's a new layer so I wouldn't worry, do agree that you need to add free choice Oyster Shells to the diet. There is in the Layer but more won't hurt, they eat as they need.
