Soft eggs

I am giving my quail a layer feed and they are eating plenty but today I got two soft eggs, I know that its not from a lack of calcium and I haven't gotten a soft egg in months. The eggs were also layed about 4 hours before any of my other quail typically lay.

Why are you positive that it is not a lack of calcium? Sometimes once birds get well into their laying cycle they reach a point where they need more calcium supplementation as their systems become depleted.

What is the nutrition information on the feed? You might try offering calcium on the side so they can have as much as they want.

Their food has calcium included in it and it is a specific layer feed.

Is it layer feed for quail, though? Quail have differnt nutritional requirements than chickens. That's why I was hoping for a picture of the nutrition label.
