Soft shell duck egg

I've use it a lot (not lately though thankfully). When I give it I do it by syringe and 1ml down the hatch. That should help.

Also, try some calcium citrate tablets. You can get them from Walmart in the vitamin section. I smash them up with a pair of pliers and put them right on top of the little dish of oyster shells so they get that first. If you can find capsules that would be even better and easier to disperse. That has improved my duck's shells quite a bit since they never did stop laying last winter.

I have one duck who has laid this before about a week and a half ago but we have received nothing since.

My pekin duck had her first eggs today. They were all soft shell and some look like they were cut in half. Should I be worried? Is it normal for them to lay that many eggs in one day? I am on my way to get her layer food and oyster shells. Right now they are currently eating Purina duck pallets.

It is normal for their first few eggs to be soft-shelled. After a few days/week, they tend to get everything sorted out. Just make sure to provide a calcium source, like Oyster shells.
