soft shell egg, laying question

After a hen lays a soft shell egg does it take a while before she lays again?
My RIR layed a soft shell egg 4 days ago, has not laid any eggs at all since.

Never mind! I went and checked for eggs and found 1 nice hard shell brown egg. I know some of you have read this post but apparently didn't have an answer. Thanks anyways. lol

I had one brown egg, broken and soft shelled - that was last weekend... since then only a few white eggs..... Perhaps I too will get a nice brown one today!

I was just getting ready to type that after one of my girls laid a soft-shelled specimen, I got one in a fairly hard shell from her 3 days later...
