Soft shell egg

I know I have seen it on here before, can't find it right now. I found a soft shell egg in the coop this morning. What does my girl need to harden up her eggs, not even sure who layed it. This sight is amazing, all the wonderful knowledge for us newbies at this chicken thing.

Calcium. You can feed them crushed oyster shell,egg shell, yogurt, Or a good laying feed should have enough for you.

Yeah...if they're on a layer feed, it's probably just a fluke, especially if they're newer layers; their egg making equipement is still working out the kinks

But it's a good idea to keep oyster shell available in a dish somewhere. They'll take what they need...a dish w/my girls lasts forever. As mentioned already, crushed egg shell does the same thing...
