Soft shell egg

Are they safe to eat? I had 2 this morning. One fell apart as soon as I picked it up, but the other is in tack and didn't know if it was safe to eat. I think someone else just started laying since I also had the cutest little egg. Along with two regular and a hen in the laying box. Too much fun. Just need to know if I am pitching the soft shells or not.

I had a couple of these at first. I did put one in the refrigerator and the shell hardened overnight but I can't remember if we ate it or not.

I think the egg would be okay to eat.

I had a couple of these in the Summer.
Then they stopped.

I just had 2 this morning...i got a hole when I picked it up so I scrambled it for the girls. The other I cracked open and it looked good so I ate it!! Still alive so I guess I am ok!! And man was it good!!!
