Soft "shelled" Eggs?

'Fair game' is because they break easily and are hard to resist eating,
not because you wouldn't eat them ;)

Yeah, cut all this out.
Good shells have to do with more than just the calcium,
they need the other vitamins/mineral/amni acids to uptake and apply that calcium.

Ramping down production for molt and winter break.
Can get some weird eggs around this time.
Assuming you live in the northern hemisphere, but....

Where in this world are you located?
Climate, and time of year, is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, and then it's always there!

That's true, too - soft shelled eggs are easy pickin'. Fun jelly blobs that they are for chickens.

Why are the treats so terrible if they're given once in a while (not every day) and later in the day? I know my list was long, but I'm not out there giving them a treat and then rushing in the house for another one. I can't afford that lol.

I don't like to add my location to my profile for everyone to see whenever they like. I am in the hot and dry desert so winter doesn't usually stop their egg laying too much. They seem to quite enjoy the cooler weather. The summers are always the hardest on their egg production, but they were laying super well and then slowed down and I assume it's from molting.
