Today 2 of my Lavender Ameracauna pullets laid 2 soft shelled eggs. Are these lash eggs or hens needing more oyster shell? I touched one with my boot and it popped. I did not touch either egg with my hands.

What is their normal diet and have they been laying long?
The hens just started laying this past month. They have all flock pellets, they free range and get kitchen scraps. I normally have free choice oyster shell. But it was low and I refilled it today.

I agree with all the above. If in the future if you worry that you have a lash egg, always make sure to cut it open in half and take photos (and then toss it and wash your hands well) as that's the only way we can confirm it.
