soft shelled eggs

Our chickens have been laying a soft shelled egg about every day. We have 15 hens. They are fed Whole flock feed and have oyster shell and grit. Any ideas why they are doing this?

Are they new layers? Soft shell eggs are more common in new layers, but if they are older and have been laying awhile it could be due to a number of causes, such as a nutritional deficiency, parasite infestation, stress... More info here:
