The last two days I have gotten 1 egg with a shell so soft that it crushed when I picked it up. Their feed has calcium. I free offer three bowls in the aviary. One of oyster shells one of chicken shells and one of quail shells all always full.

Help a brother understand.

It can be due to age, stress, ilness, injury or you can just chalk it up to stuff happens. It's a common thing and usually clears up after an egg or 2 or 3.
