Solar lightbulb for your chicken coop

Excuse me,I wasnt knocking it. I mearly ask a question. Maybe I confused you.Let me clarfy it easier for you:

Why would someone build a pitch dark chicken coop?
where there is ventilation and a door,there is light.
Why go to the extreme of sawing a hole in your roof,have bleach water dangling over chickens heads,when you can make your roof our of that clear ridged vinyl?
Why would chickens need a light in their coop in the daytime??

The bottle isnt going to work on a cloudy day
nor a rainy day
nor a snowy day
nor at nighttime

just in extreme 100% sun

Im a Civil/Structural Designer. I know about buildings, proper ventalation,proper lighting,structural strength,ect...

Maybe im beyond the novelty of it and looking at the application, I can say it just doesnt fit..........but go on, try.put a hole in your roof.

In some countries they have no window as building supplies are limited so using waste as a resource helps.
I think its a wonderfull way to light things...thinking outside the box to help others is good...like cheap Solar Tubes they sell here for lots of money...
Some people have their coops way out past the house and its dark inside since its to far for electric.
We put a hole in our roof for the wood stove pipe was pretty easy...

That is a great idea as well,but with no one their to teach them new ways they have to use the only ideas they have.
You should try and get ahold of that man or someone who can for you and show him new ideas.

This would be the way to go instead of cuting a hole in your coop roof.

For us, we used an old shed on the property. No money for the spendy clear stuff.
Lots of people cannot afford to build new. so this can be a no cost light for them.
Including us.
