Im skimming through all the info on solar and need a little help. I want a heated water dish plus and maybe a light to promote egg laying once they start. They were born at the end of June.
What amount of power do I need for those items (using a low-power bulb)

Can I use a 15 to 20 watt panel in one of the kits?
I assume I need an inverter so I can plug in the heated water dish.

I would use a battery for the cloudy days.

I Live near cape cod MA.

It would take a lot more than that setup, to power up one of those heated water dishes. And it would quickly suck a battery dry/dead. For a couple of winters, before I ran electric to the coop, I used 2 100' extension cords hooked together to power up my water fount warmer (Cookie Tin heater). It worked great for me, very quick and easy.

I have no functioning outdoor outlet atm. A heated pet water dish uses that much power?

Edit just looked up power consumption of bowls they start at 25w
