I used these:
1. A 4-Channel WiFi Wireless-Relay Switch Module - Smart Momentary Inching Controller,DC 7-32V DIY Remote Control Garage Door,Compatible with Alexa Echo Google Home IFTTT
2. Taiss photoelectric Switch M18 2m Sensing 6-36VDC 3 Wire PNP NO(Normally Open) retroreflective Cylinder Amplifier photoelectric Sensor Switch E3F-R2P1
3. Electromagnetic Power Relay, 8-Pin 10 AMP 12V DC Relay Coil with Socket Base, LED Indicator, DPDT 2NO 2NC - MY2NJ [Applicable for DIN Rail System]
When the actuator is activated to close, so too is the Relay. If anything crosses the sensor, power reverses in tbe relay raising the door.
Note on sensor: first attempt was with a sensor model without reflector. It was not reliable.
When actuator is powered off, so too does the relay. But powered on even when closed if a bird was to get to it, Door would open. Hasn't been an issue cause once it's dark, Birds aren't moving. Just have to set a timer to turn off power so no other creature could actuvate depending on placement.
Door and sensor attached with my 7 week Littles. The girls are out already. I have 2 doors using this. The one you see and another trap door that slides flat horizontally to access bottom for feed and water.
