Coop is being built in a month. I am thinking of adding a solar roof fan for the summer months. Is it worth it? Am I better off just putting in a roof turbine? Near Chicago.

I think Auto-correct is playing with your post, writing Copper instead of Coop. Otherwise, I don't really understand the copper portion.
I really think you do not need any fans, or turbines. What you do need is a WELL VENTILATED COOP. Proper ventilation during winter will keep moisture and ammonia to a minimum. In the summer, you would want cross ventilation at lower levels to remove heat buildup. Those would be closed off during cold, and wet weather. (close-able screened windows).
I can direct you to many coop ideas, as well as inform you as to how to place your ventilation. I'm not sure how much info you have in these areas.
The possible problem with a roof turbine, is the possibility of rain water getting into the interior of coop. There are ways to overcome that also.
WISHING YOU BEST........................ :welcome
