Sold 3 wk old sexed chicks based on wings?

Thanks everyone! They slept well last night. All chowing down and drinking this morning. I'm thinking maybe the three week old thing was BS too...?? Some are much smaller then the other 4. The smalls are only starting to get feathers on the tips of their wings...is that 3 weeks old??? Here's some pics. I Know nothing about chicks but the dark easter egger seems like a boy, hes much larger then the others, thick legs....thoughts? Are they 3 weeks old?
Pic 1 and 2 is the dark easter egger
Pic three is...?? Buff orp or RIR?
pic 4 and 5 is easter egger
Pic 6, 7 8 is light brama
pic 9 group shot.
I'm missing pics of the small australorp, 2 easter eggers and RIR or orp.

I just wrote the boy that sold these cuties to me asking if he'd trade me pullets (older and actually sexed pullets) for however many roosters I get. I feel like that's fair...am I being too harsh? I applaud the entrepreneurship of kids as that's how I got my start but I don't think you should advertise selling sexed chicks and it be straight run. Guess i should have gone the mail order day-old route. I've heard sexing from the hatcheries is pretty spot on. Certainly better than 50/50! On the plus side i swear they are growing like beans- They look bigger after just 4 hours away from them! :D

Anyone have thoughts on if they are actually 3 weeks old? If they're only a week or two i prob need more heat for them...

These are my 9-day-olds . . . I don’t think yours are three weeks. Under two, maybe as young as one. The wing feathers are covered by your hands, but you get the idea. The more of those, the older the chicks. Lots of downy fluff still on them.
Edit: Just saw that last picture. Some of them may be two weeks old, but some of the other look younger.

oh boy, yeah my BIG ones look like your 9 day olds!!! OK, picking up heat lamp for them tonight! Thanks for the input!

The seller responded he's always sexed chickens that way and all happy customers. I guess all the peeps ;) on backyard chickens must be wrong. He doesn't know WHERE i could have possibly heard you can't sex 3 week (erm, actually 5-9 day old) chicks by feather length LOL. Oh well, worth a shot. I don't think "I read on the internet" is going to help my case here....I had no idea there were chicken scammers out there! I guess its in every hobby. Oh well, live and learn. They're so cute, its hard to be upset!

Some people will go to their grave convinced of that feather sexing thing. My family does. They check their previous predictions often. Strangely, their predictions always fall 50/50, so of course they’re going to get some right! lol

Maybe he knows something we don’t. Maybe he picks up on other clues that have helped him satisfy previous customers. Let’s hope he guessed well and you have all girls.

Hi everyone, all chicks still alive and well. I've had them for a week and a half so the large ones i'm guessing are now 3 to 4 weeks old? I was supposed to get a buff orp but instead got two RIR--unless Buff orp chix look exactly like RIR chix? The 5 larger birds are the 4 EE and 1 Light bramha. Anyone want to guess on sex? They're supposed to be all pullets... I think its still too early to tell. The grey EE though is looking cockerel to me, though i'm a total noob! Thoughts?

They're still too young to sex and yes, the biggest ones look 3-4 weeks.

I suspect that this kid got a bunch of chicks on clearance sale at the feed store. They often clearance the leftovers to make room for the next shipment. If you're very lucky, he got hatchery sexed pullets and 90% will be female. However, I wouldn't count on it as many feed stores order straight run except for sexlinks.
