Sold As Black Leggorn

Update on the chick when it’s feathered out. It’s not easy to tell currently but definitely not a black leghorn.

I hadn’t heard of these and can’t find too much about them but from what I found it’s definitely a contender.

I got them at Tractor Supply. I’d never heard of Black leghorns but the guy swore these were

Black Leghorns exist. So do Black Minorcas. But I don't think you have either one of them.

Maybe a Black Sexlink? They are common, and are good layers. (Leghorns are good layers. Sexlinks are good layers--maybe the guy mixed up the breed names among the "good layer" types.)

Black Sexlinks can come from several different crosses of parent breeds, so they are not entirely consistent, but some of them do have a lot of black.
