Maybe a Black Sexlink? They are common, and are good layers. (Leghorns are good layers. Sexlinks are good layers--maybe the guy mixed up the breed names among the "good layer" types.)
Black Sexlinks can come from several different crosses of parent breeds, so they are not entirely consistent, but some of them do have a lot of black.
