sold wrong chicks

I don't seem to remember my Black Sex-links to have that much brown on them when they were younger. Mine seemed all black and the reddish-brown only showed up on their head, neck, and chest once they were fully feathered. Maybe it was just the way my three hens were colored..

Hmmmm... My daughter-in-law thought they were for sure Sex Links. She has raised them before, but it has been awhile. Any other suggestions? Anyone???

It's a BSL girl. They can show a wide variation in coloring because they are a mix. Some only have a few red/brown feathers, on others the brown can be mixed with the black all the way to the tail.

My Buff Orp/Barred Rock sex link pullet is more than half buff.
