Soldier Fly Larvae illegal, raised on human waste?

FWIW, I personally would never buy somebody else's bugs.
If my birds find bugs around here and eat them, more power to them!
I have to admit, though, my ducklings and chicks fight over the earthworms and dungpile roaches they find, thry even eat sowbugs... yum yum yum.

Nothing produced in China should be considered safe unless it has been tested in a reputable independent lab.

I had a friend that spent over a decade in China helping them learn to produce solid surface products, think Corian type materials and sinks. He said it was non stop issues with the Chinese companies or managers trying to slip lead into the material mixes to make the colors more vibrant while using less pigments or to keep the UV stable properties without using the safe admixtures.

Chinese stuff is cheap due to little to no regulation or testing and intense competition, add to that incentives and kickbacks from the government for exporting and generating jobs. For instance, the government runs programs that provide a 5% kick back, which is a great profit for a manufacturer, plus they will cover the trucking costs, dock fees, and even the ocean freight for the entire order.

I recently ordered 15 lbs of soldier fly larvae ($85) because my chicks are nuts about it, and I use it to lure them back into their coop when their guard dog needs a break. The worms are "manufactured" in the US, but in small print I saw they were farmed in China. It's a fact that that worms are farmed on human waste in China https://www.afr.com/world/asia/how-...g-human-waste-into-black-gold-20150202-133xdd.

I've heard it's illegal for commercial egg sellers to feed them because it's raised on human waste in China. https://cluckin.net/why-is-it-illegal-to-feed-mealworms-to-chickens.html I also read a scientific study showing that parasites from raising worms on human waste (like those that cause Mad Cow Disease) can exist in the dried worms.
When I tried to stop the order, the online seller refunded my money and gave them to me for free. I asked for documentation that they weren't farmed on human waste, willing to pay if she could show proof, but she never answered me.
Anyone have online links to confirm or debunk whether it's illegal for commercial egg sellers to feed worms because of this? Anyone have proof that the worms farmed in China are not raised on human waste?
I contacted the seller who said they use human food waste, not human feces, at least for the brand i purchases, which was mtart brand

OMG AM I EATING EGGS FROM CHICKENS THAT EAT DRIED MEALWORMS?? 🤢🤮 NO MORE!

Well... technically human food waste is human waste....

And don't forget they can feed them human cadavers. Clean the skeleton and sell it, then sell the worms that did the cleaning.

Don't put anything past the Chinese companies, that is a hard place to survive in and to do business in, every corner is cut.
