Even birds with solid buff genetics would have black in their tails if not for breeder selection, in fact, many still do. In the second generation you will have a lot of variation, select only the most buff ones with Brahma traits.

It is a Cochin.For a Self Buff Brahma I would start with Buff Cochins instead of Orps
Oh I did not see that posted, but the hen is kinda short. I prefer lanky cochins, perhaps its the angle of the picture. But yeah good call on Cochins as they are large feathered fluffly like BrahmasIt is a Cochin.
