Solo chick

Hey everyone. I need a little assistance. I recently got two chick's, one of which passed away last night. My surviving chick is about 4 weeks and now alone. Which makes both of us sad. My question is what is the best way to bring in a new chick who will probably be much younger? Does anyone have experience with this?

It needs more it’s own age or it will lose the will to live. Within a week or two would be ok.

Maybe you can ask in your state or country thread here at the site. I myself have 2 pullets that are about that age that are available, but I'm sure that you probably don't live where I do.

I live in a very rural town on the east coast of Canada so that would be a real shot in the dark

Maybe you can ask in your local feed store where you buy your feed at? They might know of someone.
