Solution for damp coop?

What about pine pellets instead of shavings? Just trying to think of options that would stay dry and comfortable longer.

I've never tried pelleted bedding but some folks on here seem to like it, so might not hurt to try.

As far as cutting another vent near the peak, it can't hurt, but may or may not fix things. It's sounding like the moisture in the air is just wanting to cling to the plastic.
 
I think the best shot you have to fix this is to add ventilation. The insulation might actually make it worse, but I'll let the seasoned builders speak to that. The best thing you can do is cut more windows high, and if you can figure a way to do it, perhaps a small fan up high that keeps the air moving through. Set it up so it pulls the air out, not blowing it in. Does that make sense? I'm no builder, I'm just trying to brainstorm with you.
