Smart move, Boyd otherwise you would probably have decked her good with your words!

I'm sorry to hear that. In the end, we are all really only as good as the people we have hung out with...

What is that gal's problem? I've heard of short guys having issues, being cocky and starting stuff with people way bigger than them... but haven't heard much about girls being that stupid. What a moron.

Maybe now the school will take this more seriously... I know before they were trying, but I doubt they really expected this type of escalation. And hopefully these other kids' parents will wake up to what their little angels have been up to. If they enter the big bad world with these same attitudes they'll be in deep doo doo... there won't always be a teacher around to keep them from ending up in ICU.

the arresting officer told me that the brother and sister had a huge falling out at school last friday and cops were called.. and that both brothers and the sister are always in trouble. I am not condoning what my daughter did, but it does appear by the officers story that she took on both bro and sis. Fly like a butterfly sting like a ........ wasp?

Good grief. No wonder that girl has the ... nerve... to attack a 6' victim... her brother has her back and isn't in the least worried about beating a girl... makes me wonder just what's going on at home to put the idea that that is FINE into his head.

Have the police, CPS, anything like that investigated to find out WHY these kids are acting this way?? It could just be rebellion, absolutely. But it could also be drugs, from peers. Or it could be some major problems, even abuse, at home. No telling unless someone goes in and snoops... for their sake, AND for every other student's sake I think in this instance some intervention is warranted.

I hear you though... it's a fine line between defending yourself and looking for a fight... when to walk away, when you can't. I won't stand for someone hitting me, or mine, but I also don't bring fists into an argument... not with the laws as they are... when the victim is punished as harshly as the attacker... nope. I think before wading in because if I do anything but curl in a ball and take it I'm going to jail. Just make sure she learns that part of the lesson... is aware of what will happen if she can't/won't walk away... and then you gotta leave the choice to her. Just be sure that when she's in the right, when she didn't start it and COULD NOT walk away, that you support her not laying down and just taking the boot to the face. But, that's where that line comes in... if you weren't there it's hard to tell whether she could have walked away or not... trust IS a bugger isn't it.

Well, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do...

I don't condone letting a disagreement get physical, but sometimes you have no other workable choice...

Eeek.. i hope they dont expel her!!..
I'm going through that with a new foster son right now...
He was expelled in another school district before..(a few years ago)... and since then..hes been allowed back into regualr schools..
But...not MY district... they said that under such and such law...he was expelled before... so they do NOT have to allow him into their school...
So.... now they may have to move him...and find another school district that will accept him.

I have WHAT in my yard? :

The only thing that keeps me from homicide when my DD spins out of control is remembering how incredibly awful it felt INSIDE the maelstrom.

We have lots of codes for "you're spinning out of control" go 1.) to your room 2.) punch a pillow (sisters are not allowed) 3.) shred paper

It cuts down on wear and tear for every one!

When I tell her she is at code yellow it means soon there will be punishment for her attitude

Code red means - you're splitting wood girlie!
