Thank you to all of you and your well-wishes.

I wanted to update anyone still watching this that our three bonus roos have been rehomed. Craigslist works fast, y'all. The family who took them seemed kind, too. It was a small thing, but I'd been nervous about giving them away, and it was a gross drizzly morning, and it gave me some comfort when they put the roos in the cab of their truck instead of in the bed.

I did also feel a bit sketchy lurking in a parking lot pre-dawn with three crowing roos in our car in a city that does not allow roosters in city limits (we live outside city limits and so does the family, we just needed to meet somewhere public) but I suppose that's the life. We drove around until our people showed up so the car noise would hopefully drown out the chorus in the back seat.

We were all sad to see them go, but it is nice to have only a solo singer to wake up to in the morning instead of a barbershop quartet.
