some body please explain this to me, $100 for a rooster?

I don't have any issue with the original poster's first question. She wanted to know if these were fighting birds. One poster gave her very good reasons why they weren't.

some people have decided to criticize the seller for simply asking for a certain amount of money(which might be a typo). The guy can ask a million dollars for the bird. I won't be buying it though.

But he certainly has a right to ask what he thinks he can get for the animal.

Heck, I would be opening up a business geared toward raising strictly mutt roosters if I thought that I could get that much for each one.

Go to Eggbid and see what eggs from good quakity Silkies go for, that's a real jaw dropper. And I've seen Silkies bid up close to 1,000 dollars on there too. I personally have paid close to 100 dollars for very good quality show stock to put into my breeding program to make improvements to my lines. And I figure that the first dozen eggs of early spring would have to fetch a couple hundred dollars to make-up for the winter layover when I let the hens rest. Chickens are expensive but they are also fun to have around.

Ok, mystery solved. She posted again, with the same price, and I'm just glad that they are not for fighting. Thanks every one.
