Okay...first off before you even try to judge on the coop designs please keep this in mind. I only have a backyard, not 5 acres or anything. I live were it can get 120 degree's in the summer time. These designs all have flaws and I am still thinking of some stuff. This is all of my families pitching in idea's...We tend to disagree on alot about the animals. I am ultamitly going to decide, after perfecting my designs. In Coop #1 and 2 designs there will be a door in the back and with #3 there will be a latch on the side.

I see many flaws with what my father is saying with this one. He is intending it would be less money, less space taken up, and safer from the deadly heat. I don't think it would be good for the chickens though because with his busy schedule and my being gone for 2 months this summer it would be almost impossible for him to clean out. I like some concepts of it. The other side with the cages and what not is for my 5 rabbits (I own a rabbitry). I mean, it is an okay idea seeing how it would fit there perfectly but it would be very hard to clean and collect eggs especially with his busted ankle. He is not the primary care taker but I will be gone so it will fall on him.

I like this design alot but it would be kind of hard to clean. I plan on adding a window if I go with one like this so don't worry about that. I don't know what you guys think of this design or not. Money is not really the issue and I don't want to give my chickens a little hutch because We need at LEAST a fan with them due to the dying heat of were we live.

I hate this one...It bothers me a bit that there is no shelter except for the boxes. They would absolutly die within a day. I am not putting my chickens in this one I just wanted to hear your guys thoughts on it.

Okay, now there is the possibility that my rabbits and chickens would be coming with me out to my giant property for the couple months. I need a coop here for sure but I had a couple idea's there as well. I can start from scratch up there and it would be great. Anyway here are my idea's for there. Keep in mind the highest it gets there during the summer is about 80 degrees. Also these will have doors and windows like the ones above.

This one is a lot like Design #1 but a little more modified to fit the chickens.

Alot like Design #2 but bigger with more room to store stuff. I am trying to think how I can merge my rescued birds, my rabbits, and my chickens all together in one large enclosure but while keeping each animal safe and away from the other one.

Remember these are not complete models, I am still really trying to plan this out but I would like to know what I could do better/change to make these rough draft designs better. Thanks for your opinions!
