Hugging a Chicken
My 2 hens, Gloria (Barred Plymouth Rock) and Penny (Buff Orpington) had some fun in the sun today! Dirt digging, sunbathing, scratching for bugs, riding on a boogie board, posing for pictures, chilling on a chair and eating scratch, bread and scrambled eggs to make this day complete!

Yes it looks like they had a great day. Don't forget to add posing for pictures to the list of activities. So cute. Is that The Penny who posed in a little red wagon that made picture of the week?

It is so cold here, drizzly, and breezy. It is good to see sunny pictures, and always good to see happy animals!

That is The Penny of little wagon fame. This is the first time I recognized the chicken before connecting her to the poster/chicken keeper. (Also sorry about the loss of your sweet Hazel-she would have enjoyed the day, too.)

Yup... she's a celebrity now. Thanks for your concern about hazel, she was a good lil' hen.
