We've had these 4 buff orpingtons for about 8 months now. There may have been a time when we got 4 eggs in one day, but for the most part we only get 1-2 eggs a day. No apparent molting and no stress that I know of. We did introduce 5 babies in a pen next to them, but they actually started laying more eggs at that time. We got 3 one day and 2 a day for the next week. Now we're back to 1 egg a day. Don't know how to tell who is and isn't laying!
