Some keets I hatched recently

Forget super pieds lol. I want to see whites.
You cant see the pics on BYP?

Tell me about it!!! My hatch is almost complete, HEAPS of pearl pieds, some quite nice (not as pied as I would have hoped for), 3 lavender pieds (not bad, much better pieds than my breeder hens) and ONE only ONE cinnamon pied (looks to be the most pied of the lot) still about 10 eggs to go for this lot, who knows..... maybe a case of best till last? I hope so....... But really I am very happy about how healthy these little guys are, I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little dissapointed, but over all quite good...... PS I can't see any pics on your post? and I'm a member there? everyone else is commenting on them..... frustrating LOL

Above is my pied peachick (plus a white) very striking little guy! Much more white than the mother.

Awwwwww way too cute, I want it, I want it, send it to me!!!! I had no idea Pied Peafowl were THAT cute/colorful when they hatched!!! I probably won't be hatching any Peachicks 'til next year, but if I do get some fertile Pea eggs this year... I'll faint, of I hatch any, I'll have a heart attack. (They will just be regular IBs. But mannnn do I want some Pied Peas!!!!).

Congrats on all your hatching successes, I/we wanna see keet w/Momma Hen pics too!!!!

I am really looking fwd to my 1st Guinea hatch... I want colors colors colors! lf I end up with a bunch of Pearl Greys or Royal Purples I'll be um... ticked, to say the least, LOL

I don't need/want wither of those colors, even if they are Pied, lol. I have no idea who is breeding with who, or who is laying in this flock... except that one Chocolate Hen is laying (I caught her laying an egg) and a Pied Brown or Pied Cinnamon Hen is laying (I had them caged together for pics and walked by and there was an egg), but are they laying fertile eggs is the magic question?. I just don't want any Pied Pearls... got burned out on them last season, lol. So many of my keets last yr out of a LIGHT COLORED, mostly Pied flock were Pied Pearl Greys so I got bored with them. Hopefully this next generation (of mostly partially pearled birds, light colors and a few light colored Pieds) will break that color streak. There are 2 Pied Royal Purples in the flock, but they are young and low in the pecking order, so hopefully their genes stay out of the first few batches!

Anyway more pics, more pics bemba!!! Keets keets keets!!!

Thanks for posting on the other thread, I'm really down about the peachicks..... The excitment of new babies seems to fade a bit when something like this happens. I'm just scared to death that the new babies are going to get it too...... but not to worry, I have them very isolated, so fingers and toes crossed! I'll get some pics soonish.

I understand... I'd be quite distracted too if I were in your place. Hope all turns out fine and there are no losses (other than some of your hair maybe!). Don't forget to breathe every now and then bemba
