Some kids hurt my duck

I was out playing volleyball and I left my 4 white crested ducklings outside like I always do. I happened to come back and 2 kids were messing with my poor ducklings. The children know they are not aloud to come into my yard without permission. I'm asking what I need to do for my duckling, Daisy. She is the only one who got hurt. I'm not sure what the children did, but she was soaked. When I got to her she wouldn't move. Just lying there crying. I'm not sure what to do! It's too late to take her to the vet so anyone know what I can do? It hurts me to see her crying and not moving.
 
That is horrible, I am so sorry.

Get her dried off, use a hair dryer on a lower setting. Get her warm and hold her upside to drain any water from her that may be in her lungs. Help her stay relaxed and hopefully she will get all the way better with some rest.

Crested ducks are prone to head injuries. After she is tended to I would march over to the kids house and read the parents the riot act. Do you have a pond, where they may have tried to drown her. I don't know how old your ducklings are but, very young ones don't have waterproof feathers.

Have you posted on "emergencies , diseases, injuries, cures," thread? You may also want to post on the "duck thread." Emergency vets may be open at this hour.

Your poor duck, I hope she'll be ok. How is she this morning?

Please make the parents aware of their kids being on your property. The kids have to be kept away from your place. It's bad enough they injured your duck but if the kids were to get hurt, you don't want to be financially responsible for them (everyone is so sue happy these days).

So sorry this happened to you and your girl. Please give us an update.
 
How sad. I hope she is better this morning.

The kids were trespassing. They were cruel to your animals. They damaged property. In this State people get punished for breaking those laws.
 
I would have marched right over there myself; that is animal cruelty and somebody needs to discipline their child! Ok just had to get that off my chest! I sure hope your duckling is OK :(

Gates. With locks. And a hard spraying hose. Disrespectful children get sprayed with a hose around here, HARD spray. >:(
