Yeah! Went and met up with him this afternoon to see the birds and such! Happy to give me not only a companion but a few breeding pairs once the loft/aviary is set up, FJ is more food focused right now any ways

Excellent! Pigeoneers are like that. I picked up some bands from another fancier today and was offered several nice birds. Had to say no for now, ...

To tell if it is soon to ween check under under its wings, if the wings are completely feathered (no skin showing) it is ready to go eventually but if it’s wings are showing a lot of skin it’s not ready.

Have you peeked at the underside of the wings to see how feathering is coming along?

Also I have a 4×2 hutch(used to breed rats) that I plan on using as his starter cage outdoors as he feathers out and builds muscle. Anyone know how long till I can leave him out on his own? I assume till he's completely feathered but obviously ferals live outside in the same weather so idk!

I would get him outside in a cage for some sun everyday but not keep him alone outside until you have some other birds for company. Until then he will be happier inside with you. Just my thoughts.

First bath and beginning to wean! Go took a "bath for the first time today in a tiny dog bowl and is finally has begun to actually taste test what I bring and not just peck it!
