Hello! I've been a member for quite some time but I usually only get on here to read up on new breeds, or to look up issues or problems so I'm a little lurker I guess!
Anyways, I got on here today because... I got peachicks finally! I've done a bunch of research and I have the basics pretty figured out. I have had chickens and ducks for about a decade now.. We also have lovebirds, doves, and budgies. I added a guinea hen this spring and then had an excellent deal for some peachicks fall into my lap. I got four babies for $120 total from a semi local person who is breeding for the leucistic trait. Of the 3 she hatched only 1 was her keeper. Then someone brought a few in to the SPCA so she offered them to me also. The 2 from her were only a week old when I got them. The other 2 were about 10 weeks old.

My main reason for posting today is because I am somewhat concerned about the 2 youngest. I got a picture and had to doctor it so I could show what I am worried about so it's in black and white because they are only about 18 days old and the brooder lamp makes them red and hard to see well. In the picture I'm looking at their legs. They sort of look like they are 'knock-kneed" and I'm not sure if that's a thing or not! No problems walking, they aren't limping or acting sore. It's probably just me being overly concerned. They have an appt next week to see our avian vet for their first checkup but I was hoping for you guys to give me some advice or soothe my worries please 🥺

Also, not entirely sure I am posting this correctly so if not let me know and I will fix it. Thanks!

I think some are just born that way I'm not really sure. Just keep them on a grippy surface so they can walk good.

Large pine flakes are fine, it is what we use. When you have specific questions it is really best to start a new thread so you get more eyes on and more responses. The chicks look normal to me, if there was a problem they would be limping. Are you sure you need to spend money on an avian vet?
Ok good to know the pine flakes are ok. Thank you! I'm not sure I know how to start a new thread but I will look for a tutorial! Thanks for telling me about that :)
