Some people get stray cats, we get a stray chicken

We're glad to have you.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! If she is used to roosting in the trees, you'll have to catch her and confine her to the coop/run for a week or two, and trim her wing to keep her from flying out of the yard or where ever you have them... if you let her free range she will probably sooner or later go back to roosting in the trees though, and might very well show yours how it is done...

Welcome. If you're lucky and she hangs out with yours she might just join the flock because she wants to and follow them into the coop. That's happened to two people I know. The hens, one in one case, two in another, who showed up and the one after two days followed the flock into the coop at night and made herself at home.
That one ended up being the broody who hatched the eggs of others in addition to her own so she was a good addition.
