Some people just never learn...

I definately know now who you were referring to and I sure hope those Welsummers were ok...and YES I did notice her selling the eggs so I thought nothing of it but like some said, buyers beware!.

Thanks to you for the heads up on this gal...I would have bought more of her Welsummer eggs and they probably got bad stuff going thru and possibly put the new chicks in jeopardy.

Its pitiful but I dont think she will be the only one who will get investigated. I bet you will find more out there!

Thats why i'm scared to buy anything from breeders.

maybe next time they will take her animals and fine her or send her up the river for a couple of weeks.

I thank you on behalf of the animals and the people whom she deceives.

Unless you're referring to Hooligan's post, I don't think you and I are talking about the same person (unless you saw what happened on the other board?). She's never had Welsummers (that I'm aware of), but I have seen her selling silkies, cochins, Serama, guineas, and peacocks, among others. She only has one auction up at this time.

I did remember that post on the other BYC board and remember her handle name on Eggbid a few times and once on Ebay. She didnt get much response tho. And I definately remember that "hoarder" so I know. I must have gotten the wrong post but the right person in mind......it was one of the BYC that went and bought some Welsummers...so that must be the one I was thinking of.

I used to be on the other BYC and left because of BS like that and asking questions of a couple so called breeders and then receiving rude emails for a week afterwards because I did ask questions. People like that give all of us who breed a bad name.

Anyone who asks I will tell that I don't have the best of any breed I have, but I do strive to keep quality, healthy animals. I do try to breed for the accepted standard, and tend to cull out birds that don't meet that, and I when I sell my culled birds, I do tell the buyers that they're only barnyard quality. I want the buyer to know exactly what they are getting so there won't be any surprises. I've had a few of those already!

Even the best of breeding lines that have always been consistent for you can throw you a curve now and then. Once bought a top show cock bird that threw some of the worst chicks I had ever seen.

Blowing the whistle on some one who shouldn't own animals does the whole community a service.
