Although Camelot's list shows DH as meaning "Darling Husband" - in the interest of truthfulness, The first few interpretations you list for DH could be accurate, depending on the circumstances!

I love the sound of the frogs. When they start you know spring is on it's way. It will still be in the low 40's at night and I will keep the windows open so I can hear them. We don't live by a lake or pond, just a huge wet spot in the field that can never get planted due to the sitting water. Once it is dark they are almost deafaning[sp].

you should have sold her muscovies and gotten her into poultry!!!
:-)

but then - she'll probably come knocking at your door b/c she cant stand the sound of roosters ....

people are crazy

Perhaps you should have suggested egg plugs? Eradicating the frogs is not a good thing to do to a lake/pond. They are an important part of the eco-balance and may cause other repercussions she is not anticipating.

Years ago we moved from a rural home along a busier road to a rural home 1/2 mile down a lane. My then 13-yr old daughter came down after a few days complaining the crickets were keeping her awake. I informed her that the reason she was HEARING the crickets is because the TRAFFIC sounds were now gone.

Well I do feel for those Hawaiian's that are being invaded by frogs where it used to be quiet. Frogs are invasive there, but most everywhere else they have an important part to play in the ecosystem. I can't imagine Walmart would have anything just for killing frogs.

Poor thing! She needs to move back to the city so she can sleep soundly with horns blaring, trash cans clattering, engines racing and folks playing loud, pounding music! Ah, how restful!

I love my frogs and lizards here! LOVE 'em. I listen for the first spring peepers to tell me that Spring is really here.
