Some pictures of my Coturnix... but what am I?

I finally got this picture thing down... with some help

. So I thought I'd show off my first flock and maybe get some thoughts about colorations and sexes??? PLEASE DO CORRECT me if I have any wrong!!! I'm kinda confused on the Rosetta and the Dark Range so I maybe all backwards so would defianately love the input. Thank you in advance!

1. I'm pretty sure this is a male jumbo brown

2. I'm thinking this is a female jumbo brown

3. Not really sure so could use help here Rosetta Tux???

4. Again not sure Dark Range Tux (very poor tux markings but does have them) ?

5. Thinking a dark range???

6. Thinking Rosetta here???

7. Rosetta Maybe???

Everything looks good. Except for the one chick is not a Dark Range...looks like a regular old Tibettan to me. And as for sexing mutations really hard unless you can vent. I just wait till they crow or lay an egg.

Is the tibetan the one with white eyeliner in picture 5? So glad I can ask here!!! I really want to kinda know what I'm talking about...

I have no idea how to tell them apart since I only have 3 colors so I am sure I will have to post pictures when my eggs from shelley hatch so I will know what I have too.
Very nice pictures but I just can't tell what the difference is between them all. At least in the last 4, they all look the same to me.

You have a few mixed up

1. correct
2. correct
3. correct
4. is not a tux but it is a dark range, yes it carries the tux gene though to be a tux it must have white on the wings and chest as well (even if only minimally on the chest)
5. is a rosetta not a dark range

6. is a dark range not a rosetta lol
7. is a Golden Range NOT a normal tibetan or a rosetta or a dark range

eta: becky for future reference (cuz im a nerd) tibetan is the pattern not the color

also to the original poster since you are getting rossetta mixed with dark range some heres a tip..if it's got "U" shaped lacing it's a dark range more often than not

If it's got barring it's a rosetta more often than not.

Also as chicks a dark range is pure black, to black with yellow/white eye brows, and a rosetta has wild like patterns and exotic spotting on the face with an firey orange red hue

And Golden Range has a distinct looking mixture of both rosetta and dark tibetan (range) but the face is marked differently than both, bold black beak (atleast my beautiful boy does yours has more of a lighter black beak righ tnow i see but it is young), and the chest feathers out normally with creamy to white stippling of vertical stripes

Right now i see your GOlden range has lacing like a dark tibetan, this may moult out or it may not if it doesn't it's possibly a mix of both Golden range and dark tibetan

But it more than likely will moult out... i cannot tell my Golden Range from my others until it moults out int complete adult feathering

I can only tell right at hatching and then again at breeding who is who

I'm not worried about my brain falling out... didn't have one to start with

Sure would be nice to figure out what colors I've got though. not sure why I'm having such a problem figuring out the rosetta and dark range. I only had one dark chick with no white marks on chest and wings so I thought I had this stuff down..... My friends mom always says when she forgets something... I'd have known that if I weren't so Quailbrained..... fitting ahe?
